About Project
CV Engine is a web-based platform designed for recruitment professionals to efficiently format and optimize CVs. The platform leverages AI and parsing technology to enhance the quality of CVs, saving recruiters valuable time and effort. It offers customizable templates, AI suggestions, and an analytics dashboard, streamlining CV preparation so recruiters can focus on finding the right candidates.
Problem
Recruiters often spend significant time formatting and adjusting CVs. The goal was to create an intuitive tool that streamlines the CV formatting process while maintaining high standards of customization and quality.
Solution
We developed CV Engine, which provides recruiters with tools to format CVs using templates, apply AI-based suggestions, and track progress through an analytics dashboard. The platform offers a WYSIWYG CV editor with customizable sections, real-time previews, and performance metrics such as processing times and template usage.

My contribution
Designed CV Engine end to end, from the initial problem framing through the shipped recruiter platform.
- Onboarding & dashboard: Designed sign up and the analytics dashboard surfacing processing time, template usage and conversion rates.
- CV templates: Designed five distinct template styles, Professional, Classic, Minimalist, Modern and Creative.
- AI-assisted formatting: Designed the upload, parsing and AI suggestion flow for reformatting inconsistent CVs.
- WYSIWYG editor: Designed the side-by-side editor for adjusting template styling and sections against the original CV.
Outcome
A faster path from raw CV to a polished, consistent format, giving recruiters more time to focus on evaluating candidates instead of reformatting documents.
