Sending money home, without the exchange-rate guesswork.
A cross-border payments app for sending and receiving money between currencies like EUR and RWF, with a stablecoin address for getting paid directly in USDT or cUSD.
About Project
YOVAPAY is a next-generation remittance Application that lets users in the UK, US, EU, and Canada send money via bank, card, or stable coins to recipients in Rwanda, Uganda, and DRC. Users get instant access to virtual USD/EUR wallets and stable coin addresses, while local recipients can cash out through mobile money, banks, or agents.
The problem
Sending money across borders usually means unclear exchange rates, slow transfers, and no visibility into what actually lands on the other side. People sending money home needed a way to see exactly what they're sending, what will arrive, and get paid directly in stablecoins when that made more sense.
The approach
Designed a wallet home screen with a live exchange-rate converter (EUR to RWF), one-tap send and deposit actions, quick transactions with saved contacts, and a dedicated stablecoin address screen with a QR code for getting paid in USDT or cUSD.
Onboarding
Three screens set expectations before the user ever opens a wallet: security, currency flexibility, and speed.

My contribution
Owned end-to-end UX and UI design for Yovapay, from early flows through shipped screens.
- Onboarding & sign up: Designed account creation and KYC flows for a global, multi-currency audience.
- Wallet & deposits: Designed the wallet home, deposit flow and virtual account experience.
- Currency exchange: Designed the currency exchange and quick transaction flows.
- Stablecoin payments: Designed the stablecoin payment address experience, a newer flow for the product.
Outcome
A payments app that makes a cross-border transfer as legible as a domestic one, showing the exact rate and amount before sending, and giving users a stablecoin option when that's the faster path.
- Transparency: Rate and final amount are shown up front, removing the guesswork common in cross-border transfers.
- Flexibility: Users can move between traditional currency and stablecoin rails depending on which is faster or cheaper.
- Simplicity: Deposits, exchange and quick transactions live in one consistent flow instead of separate disconnected screens.
